Lavonn L. Krummelbein, 86, died Sunday, January 27, 2019. Born in Bunker Hill, IL he was the son of Henry and Lucille (Elliott) Krummelbein.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Woodburn Bible Church. He retired as a supervisor for Laclede Steel in Alton. On December 22, 1951 he married the former Barbara Ayres in Jerseyville. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Yvonne Ohley of Alton, and Julie Smith (James) of Bunker Hill, one son, Steven Krummelbein (Vicki) of Godfrey, four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a sister, Vivian Jordan of Woodburn, IL.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Herb Ohley.
Private graveside services will be held at Woodburn Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Krummelbein’s grandson, Matt Ohley will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Woodburn Bible Church.
