Lavona “Bonnie” Streich-Wren, 85, died at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Jerseyville Manor.
Born August 29, 1933 in Fidelity, she was the daughter of Harry L. and Mae Myrtle (Whitlock) Milner. She retired from the selecting department at Owens Illinois Glass in Alton. She married John Streich and he preceded her in death.
On September 12, 2003 she married Vernon Wren. He survives. Also surviving are three children, Gary (Sherry) Stevenson of South Roxana, Deb (Bill) DeVous of Centre, Alabama, and Julie Hogue of Godfrey, three step-children, Ronald Streich of Pensacola, FL, Annette (Charles) Sewell of Alton, and Lisa (Marc) Smither of Frankfort, KY. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and two sisters, Frances (Jim) Boren of Belleview, IL, and Marilyn (Fred) Dykeman of Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by a step-son, John Streich Jr., one brother, Harvey Milner, and two sisters, Carolyn Milner, deceased at birth and Phyllis Dial.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Roy Rhodes will officiate.
Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
