JERSEYVILLE-  LaVernePalcheff, 85, died at 11:09 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.She was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Sept. 24, 1929, one of two daughters born to the late Albert & Elverta (Froehlich) Indermark.She graduated from Granite City High School, and married John L. Palcheff on May 20, 1951 in Madison.  The two made their home in Madison, where her husband was Superintendent of the Madison School District, for many years raising their family of three children, before relocating to Jerseyville in 2001.  John & LaVerne shared nearly 60 years together before his death on Feb. 13, 2011.Surviving are her three children & a daughter in law, Debbie Smith of Granite City, Donna Davis of Bethalto, and Dr. John & Janet Palcheff of Jerseyville; six grandchildren & their spouses, Michael & Jennifer Smith of Marina Del Ray, Ca., David & Brittany Smith of Glen Carbon, Phil & Sabrina Davis of Bethalto, Joseph Palcheff of Jerseyville, Nicholas Palcheff, a student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, In., and Lucas Palcheff of Jerseyville; four great grandchildren, Boston, Brittain and Trinity Davis and Jack Smith; a sister & brother in law, Jacqueline & Dr. Phil Daley of Houston, Tx.; and a sister in law, Mary Tarpoff of Granite City.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Graveside services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m., Saturday at the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Glen Carbon.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Jerseyville, with Rev. Donald Stribling officiating.The family will greet friends and family immediately following the funeral services during a luncheon hosted in the church fellowship hall.Memorials may be given to the Jersey Community Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
