Laura L. Gregory, 61, died unexpectantly at 10:14 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born December 14, 1955 in Jerseyville, IL the daughter of the late James J., Kelly and Marvelle (Sevier) Kelly Jones. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton. She retired after 25 years as a registered nurse working for BJC Health Systems. She continued her nursing career and worked 5 years at Jerseyville Hospital and VNA Tip for 5 years. On May 28, 1977 in Alton she married Randy Gregory and he survives. Also surviving are one sister; Johnna Mitchell (John) of Alton and four brothers; Jerry Kelly (Diane) of Ten Mile, TN, Don Kelly (Jan) of Alton, Johnny Jones (Kathy) of Godfrey and Russ Jones (Colleen Miller) of Troy, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father; Johnny W. Jones, one brother; James Kelly who died in infancy, and one sister; Lauretta Harmon, and her two loving dogs; Lacey and Baron. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Alton with Reverend Andre’ Dobson officiating.
