Larry Booten

Larry Neal Booten, age 82, of Alton, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017,5:20 p.m. at Willow Rose Nursing Home in Jerseyville.He was born November 24, 1935 in Mount Vernon, Illinois and was the son of the lateGeorge M. and Helen W. (nee: Ord) Booten.He married the former Betty Jane Neely.  She preceded him in death.Prior to his retirement, he was employed many years at Alton Mental Health Center as a caretaker.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.Survivors include a brother: Lee Booten of Bluff CityA granddaughter: Amanda Volkening of Alton,A step-daughter: Victoria Rull of Bunker HillA brother-in-law: Billie R. Minner of AltonNephews: Steven J. (Stefani) Minner of Alton and Eric L. (Jodi) Booten of RoxanaA niece: Linda K. Minner of Killen, TexasOther extended family and many friends.He was also preceded in death by his siblings, George Booten, Lois  Minner,Louise Booten and Lynn Degraff.Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27^th, 2017, at Elias-Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, from 4:00 p.m. until time of services honoring Larry’s life at 6:00 p.m. with Rev.
