Larry Kyle Shank, 73, passed away 12:45 a.m., Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Carrollton on April 4, 1943, he was the son of Paul W. and Aleta L. (Flatt) Shank.
He retired from SIU-Edwardsville as the Superintendent of Building Services. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Great River Road Dune Buggy Club as well as an avid boater.
Surviving are his long-time companion, Juanita Rose Gosch of Bunker Hill; sons, Wade Shank, Chris Shank, Kip Shank; daughters, Merrede Lampton, Leslie Swilley, Kyle "Missy" Biesk; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Loren Shank; and two sisters, Karen Lee and Paula Vinyard.
His parents and a sister, Reva Shank preceded in death.
Private services and burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be given to BJC Hospice.
