Larry Harkey, 59, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 12:00 pm, at Stern’s Nursing and Rehab in Granite City, IL.
He was born on November 19, 1958, in Staunton, IL, the son of Walter L. and the late Peggy J. (Creel) Harkey.
Larry enjoyed NASCAR, drag racing, going to concerts, especially the seeing the Eagles and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his father, Walter, he is survived by two brothers, Mike (Kellye) Harkey and Dennis (Penny) Harkey; one niece and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister, Joyce Marie Jarman.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, with Pastor Kevin Auten officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
