Lance E. Whorton, 61, passed away 11:32 pm, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO.
Born July 31, 1959 in Claremore, OK, he was the son of Katherine (Grisham) Whorton in Oklahoma and the late Harold Whorton.
Lance had served as a Supervisor in the environmental services field and most recently as a sexton for Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
He married Laurie Vetter on October 6, 2017 in Edwardsville and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are son, Cory Whorton; daughter, Whitney Ritter; step-daughters, Erin Caputo and Teila Beavers; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Brian, Mike and Tim Whorton; and a sister, Toni Rosser.
His father and sister, Jennifer Whorton preceded in death.
Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
