Kyle T. Jacobs, 42 of Cottage Hills, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on May 4, 1981, in Springfield IL. Kyle is the son of Tom and Barb Jacobs of Brussels and brother of Tara Thompson.
Kyle went to St. Mary's of Brussels and Brussels High School. After high school, he worked numerous jobs that led him to become a certified GM mechanic where he worked for Quality Cadillac/Buick in Alton, IL. He was also a volunteer fireman in Cottage Hills. He landed the job of his dreams with Banner Fire Equipment working on fire trucks and other equipment where he traveled to several states for the company. He loved to help people and spend time with his friends and family, especially his boys. He enjoyed taking his boys to his grandparent's farm and going fishing where they always caught a fish and loved to put their feet in the water.
Kyle also enjoyed working on his jeep which he entered into parades and spending time with his dogs which he would take to the park to run and play.
Kyle is survived by his parents Tom and Barb (Zahrli) Jacobs, a sister Tara (Jacobs) Thompson, along with three (3) sons, Damien, Dorian, and Driton Jacobs. Ex-wives Natashia Mershon and Linka Alimi, along with fiancé Ashley Streubel. Nephew Austin (Cynthia) Thompson, nieces Amber and Abby Thompson. Great nephews Owen and Wyatt Thompson and nieces Millie Thompson and Rylee Booher. Along with aunts and uncles, Mary (David) Stelbrink, Gary (Jo Ellen) Jacobs, Sally (Jim) Hawthrone, Carol (Keith) Pohlman, and David Jacobs. Along with numerous cousins.
Proceeded in death by grandparents Clifford and Charlette Jacobs, Fred and Catherine Zahrli. Aunts Ida Pluester and Deanna Snyders and an Uncle Donald Zahrli.
Kyle's family will hold a celebration of life on April 13 at St. Matthew's Lutheran church hall in Brussels at 1:00 p.m.
