Kindel McPherson

Kindel Leann McPherson, 60, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2026.

She was born on August 18, 1965, a daughter of the late Billie Jack Trickett and the late Helen Marie (Ferguson) Trickett Lewis. On September 15, 1990, she married Andrew Robert McPherson at Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City, and he survives her.

Kindel devoted many years to working as a special needs assistant, touching the lives of countless children with her kindness and patience. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who treasured her family, nurtured her children, and found joy in spending time with them. Her dedication extended to her community as well; she was an active member of the Granite City Elks Lodge and gave many years of service to the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts alongside her sons.

She is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Robert McPherson; her two sons, Joseph Aaron McPherson and Daniel Aidan McPherson of Granite City; two brothers, Billie Jack Trickett of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and James Trickett of Fairland, Oklahoma; three sisters, Johnnia Wammack and Jodie Mascher of Galena, Kansas, and Michele Fonseca of Baxter Springs, Kansas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mitzi Trickett, and two brothers, William and Franklin Trickett.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life with visitation at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.
