Kimball Ballard Copley, 65, of Brighton, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
He was born on September 11, 1960, in Alton, the son of the late Lee and Carol (Wheat) Copley.
Kimball married Diana Lair on October 10, 1989, in Jerseyville. She survives.
He retired from Wieland in January 2026, where he spent 20 years as a forklift operator. When he wasn’t talking about work, he enjoyed watching Cardinal Baseball, riding his snowmobile or spyder, depending on the weather, fishing, cooking, baking, and spending time with his family and his beloved chihuahuas.
Kimball is survived by his wife, Diana; two children, Jeremy (Rachel) Lair and Lindsey Copley both of Brighton; three grandchildren, William, Alex, and Charlie Jane Lair; two sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Cardwell and Valerie Foiles; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kevin Copley; sister, Twila Paynic.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of funeral service at noon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Brighton.
Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery.
