Kenneth Wineinger

Kenneth Wineinger, 79, passed away, on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Hillside Manor Heathcare & Rehab in St. Louis.He was born September 11, 1937, in Kenneth, Missouri, the son of Charles and Mary (Bruff) Wineinger.  Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Linda D. White on July 2, 1960, in Potosi, Missouri. She survives.Kenneth worked for McDonnel Douglas for 34 years prior to his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the VFW Post 7678 in Cottage Hills. He enjoyed playing pool and cards, fishing, golf, and mostly, spending time with his family and friends.In addition to his wife, survivors include two children, Craig Wineinger and his wife Ginny of Bethalto, Keith Wineinger of Edwardsville; and three grandchildren, Justin Wineinger, Jeremy Wineinger, and Nick Legate.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Wineinger; and one sister, Virginia Kemp.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.Memorials may be made the American Cancer Society.An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com.
