Kenneth Lee “Kenny” Lindsey, 44, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at his home on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 9:10 p.m.
Born on May 31, 1981, in Granite City, Kenny was the beloved son of Karen (Jordan) Lindsey of Granite City and the late George Lindsey.
A lifelong resident of the area, he was a dedicated employee of Pre-Coat Metals and previously worked for ten years at Granite City Steel.
Kenny was a man of simple joys and deep love. He found peace in a quiet day of fishing, excitement in fireworks on the Fourth of July, and entertainment in horror movies and video games. But above all, Kenny’s greatest joy in life was being a father. His children were the heart of his world, and his love for them was unwavering.
He is survived by his loving mother, Karen Lindsey; his four cherished children: Jerzie Lindsey of Port Angeles, Washington; Kaden Lindsey and Jenna Lindsey, both of Granite City; and Emily Lindsey of Collinsville. He also leaves behind his siblings: Sabrina Lindsey and Shawn Lindsey, both of Granite City; and Wendy Lindsey (Kurt Zang) of Chesterfield, Missouri. Kenny is also survived by his grandmother, Shirley Jordan of Granite City, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Lindsey; his sister, Samantha Lindsey; and his grandparents, George and Marion Lindsey.
A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Sharon Autenrieth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
