He enjoyed participating with his two sons in the tractor pulls every year at the Jersey County Fair, and enjoyed perfecting his golf game with his friends and brother, Donnie.

He was a socially active guy, who always enjoyed being around his friends and family.  He was happy when he was entertaining friends at a party, listening to his favorite music from the Eagles, Styx, or Journey, and was a strong supporter of Donald Trump.

He married the former Kathy (Meyer) Mourning on June 28, 2014 at their home in Jerseyville, and although way too short, were blessed with the time that they were given.
