Kenneth Breitwiser

Kenneth C Breitwiser, 100, of Shipman, passed away at 12:15 P.M. on Fri May 25, 2017 at Jerseyville Manor NH. Kenneth was born on May 3, 1917 in Shipman, IL. He was the son of Charles T & Sophia Schoeneman) Breitwiser  Kenneth married Rita Belle (Craig) Breitwiser on Aug 30, 1940 in Carlinville. She passed away on Aug 15, 1988. He married Hazel J (Ahern) Howerton-Breitwiser on March 27, 1992 in ShipmanKenneth was the general manager of the Shipman Elevator.He was a member of the Shipman United Methodist Church where he served as the financial secretary, Shipman Lions Club, Carlinville Area Hospital Board, Salvation Army and Southwestern Chamber of Commerce.He is survived by his wife, daughters and sons in laws; Carol & Harold Finn of Murray, KY, Alice & Ron Hamp of Shipman, Bette K & David Price of Chesapeake, VA and Kathy & Mark Schaefer of Shipman, sons; Terry Breitwiser of Chicago, John & Tamara Howerton of Germantown Hills, IL and Henry Howerton of Shipman. 18 Grandchildren   16 Great GrandchildrenPreceded on death by his first wife, parents, brother; Elmer Breitwiser and sister; Irma Stone   Visitation will be 5-8 pm Mon May 29, 2017 at the Shipman United Methodist Church  Funeral Services will be 11 am Tues May 20, 2017 at the Shipman United Methodist Church    Revs Jill Walter-Penn & David Melvin officiating       Burial will be in Shipman Cemetery   Memorial may be made to the Shipman United Methodist Church Online information and guestbook may be found at www.targhettaandwooldridge.com
