He was born on September 21, 1920 in East Alton, IL. The son of George Herman and Frances (Grant) Belangee.
Kenneth married Ruth Johndrow on November 21, 1943 in Alton, IL. She survives.
Kenneth was employed at the Olin Corporation as an engineer technician in the roll bond department for 43 yrs. until the time of his retirement. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp during World War II. He was very active, and held many positions in the Boy Scouts of America, including the Order of Silver Beaver Award. He also enjoyed wood working.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by two daughters and their spouses; Patricia and Charles Sinks of Cottage Hills, Il. and Gayle and Donald Delp Jr. of Alton, IL. one son and his spouse; Michael and Dawn Belangee of Alton, IL. five grandchildren; Diana Kyle, Melissa Clark, Charles Sinks Jr. Adam Delp, and Donald Delp III, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers; Carl, Harold, Edwin, Ray, Ernest and Robert Belangee, and two sisters; Virginia Yeager, and Juanita Clayton Hubbard
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday October 8, 2009 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL. Where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday October 9, 2009 at 10 am, with Pastor Daniel Bowers officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, in Bethalto IL.
