Kenan Gamaliel Ingram, 80, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his home in Godfrey, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born on May 27, 1943, in Wickliffe, Ohio, the son of John Aaron and Nellie Mae (Davis) Ingram.
Kenan married a caring woman, Cecile Ann Kuhlman on September 30, 2023, in Godfrey. Together they shared many wonderful memories.
Kenan was employed with Con Agra in Alton, Illinois for over 25 years.
Kenan was known for always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He was not only a loving husband, father and grandfather, but a friend, role model, protector and leader. He loved spending time with family. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, working in his garage and gardening. Kenan was a hard worker that couldn’t be stopped once he set his mind to something. He accomplished everything he started.
Surviving are his wife Cecil Ingram of Godfrey; three daughters Jennifer Nash of Brighton, Sarah Lagemann of Godfrey and Mindi (Martin) Hopper of Gillespie; stepchildren Michelle Allen of Alton and Steven (Linda) Rosack of Linn Creek, MO; 10 grandchildren, Ashlynn (Doug) Grizzle, Thomas Lagemann, Colton Nash, Marcie (Adam) Theisen, Jake (April) Hartnett, Peggy (Travis) Watkins, Jesse (Brandi) Hopper, Eric Brueggeman, James Stewart, Joseph Stewart; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Lisa Rosack and his 3 best friends (dogs) Tyson, Red, and Buddy.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Association or to 5 A's.
