Kathryn J. Militello, 82, formerly of Rosewood Heights, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Alhambra Care Center.
Born July 23, 1935, she was a daughter of James Kent and Alta (Carson) Bolds.
She married Lawrence A. “Larry” Militello Feb. 19, 1955 in Wood River. He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 2008.
Kathryn retired from the housekeeping department at Wood River Township Hospital. She loved buying and selling antiques.
Survivors include a son, Michael Militello and his fiancé Lisa of Carlinville; two daughters, Annette Militello of Encino, CA and Brenda (Brad) Goodman of Edwardsville; her grandchildren, Anthony (Brianne) Militello of Montana, Erica (Scott) Hale of Bethalto, Sarah (Joseph) Miragliotta of Encino, Tyler Goodman of Bethalto and Ricky Wilson of Godfrey; 3 great grandchildren; three sisters, Elizabeth Bail of St. Elmo, IL, Margaret Mennerick of St. Charles, IL, and Patsy (Steve) Payne of Caldwell, TX; a sister-in-law, Kay Militello of East Alton; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Melanie Militello; a brother, Warren Bolds; and two brothers-in-law, Dewey Bail and Sam Militello.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 30 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 10 a.m. Father Tom Liebler will be Celebrant.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace or to the Bethalto Boys and Girls Club.
