JERSEYVILLE - Kathryn Doreen "Kathy" Hayn, 54, died at 1:56 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 atDePaul Hospital in St. Louis, as a result from suffering a brain aneurysm several days prior.
She was born in Jerseyville, on October 7, 1964, and was the daughter of Stephen and Dolores Jean (Shelton) Hayn.
Kathy grew up in both the Fieldon and Kampsville areas, and graduated in 1982 from Jersey Community High School.
She was of the Catholic faith, and other than waitressing at area restaurants, she chose to be a stay home mother, and her pride and joy was her daughter.
She was formerly married to Victor Baalman, and together they shared a daughter, Kristin.
Survivng are her daughter, Kristin Baalman, and her companion, Luke Tepen of Batchtown; her mother, Jean Isringhausen of Jerseyville; her father, Steve Hayn of St. James, Mo. (formerly of Kampsville); four brothers and sisters in law, Cliff Coats of Alton, Keith "Pete" Coats of Kampsville, Claude and Ruth Coats of Wyoming, Il., and Mark and Lisa Hayn of Fieldon; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph "Joey" Hayn on Jan. 12, 1970; a niece, Courtney Coats; and her step father, Arthur John Isringhausen.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday.
She will be laid to rest in the St. Anselm's Cemetery in Kampsville.
Memorials may be given to the funeral home in her honor, and will be used to place a tombstone on her graveside.
