Kathleen Mae Turner, 93, died peacefully at 12:00 a.m., Sunday, February 18, 2024 at White Hall Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was born in Jerseyville, Illinois on January 12, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Pearl Alexander.
A lifelong resident of Jersey County, Kathleen began working at International Shoe Factory in Jerseyville as a young lady, and later retired in 1993 as the Assistant Manager at Famous Brand Shoes in Alton.
Most importantly, Kathleen was a devout Christian, as well as a loving and supportive Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was the perfect pastor's wife, always dedicating herself to her husband's 34 years of ministry with the Newbern Assembly of God.
She married William Turner on Feb. 4, 1949 at the Methodist Parsonage in Jerseyville, and together their marriage was blessed with 67 years and the joys of their three children and later grandchildren, prior to his death on May 6, 2016.
Surviving are her two daughters and a son in-law, Vicky and Dudley Roth of Bethalto, Brenda Montgomery of Bethalto; a son and daughter in-law, Michael and Debbie Turner of Jerseyville; five grandchildren and numerous loving great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in-law, James Montgomery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday. Rev. Adam Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Memory Care Unit at White Hall Nursing & Rehab Center.
