Kathleen Bauser

Kathleen M. Bauser, 92, passed away at 12:48 pm, Sunday, August 21, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. She was born September 2, 1923, in England, the daughter of George and Mary (Breen) Hill.She married Richard D. Bauser in England on July 30, 1945.  He preceded her in death in 1992.Kathleen was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Wood River and Daughters of Isabella. She liked to play cards and loved to play Bingo, commonly playing 6 or 7 nights a week. She also loved children and babysat many over the years.Survivors include her son, Randy Bauser of Alton; ex-daughter in law, Barbara Bauser of Wood River; several nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Gwin Cooley of Bunker Hill.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Patricia Hill-Leski, Noreen Hill-Larkins, Maveen Hill-Wilson; and six brothers, Joseph Hill, George Hill, John Hill, Gerald Hill, Terry Hill, and Berry Hill. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Holy Angel Catholic Church in Wood River with Fr. Donald Wolford and Fr. Jim Flach officiating.Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus Council #4688 of Bethalto.
