Karissa R. McPherson, 30, passed away unexpectedly at 4:23 pm Monday, April 18, 2016.
She was born on November 6, 1985, in Alton, IL, the son of Mike & Pam (Johnson) McPherson of Bethalto.
Karissa was a member of the Rosewood Heights 1st General Baptist Church. She enjoyed coloring, reading, spending time with her family and most of all she loved being with her son.
She is survived by her parents, Michael and Pamela McPherson of Bethalto; a son, Jace Flippo; a brother, Justin McPherson of Bethalto; maternal grandparents, Richard & Donna Johnson; her nieces, Kenadee and Addy Rose and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Daniel and Virginia McPherson, a brother, Jared McPherson, and her aunt, Linda Gross.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Rosewood Heights 1st General Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Friday, April 22, 2015 at the church with Pastor Dan Smith officiating.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the family.
