Karen Rae Henson, 61, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at her home.
Born May 23, 1964 in Los Angeles, CA, she was a daughter of William and Gertrude (Dryer) Rader.
Karen was a full-time mom to her four children and countless other “adopted” kids. A selfless lady, she enjoyed cooking and feeding all who were in her house. If anyone ever had a problem, she was the “fixer”. She also liked watching her favorite TV shows and movies.
Survivors include her children, Heather (Dan) Epps of Troy, IL, Jacob Henson, Nicole Henson, and Jesse Henson, all of Granite City; a sister, Dianna (Rick) Hufnus of Beach Park, IL; her countless “adopted” kids and many beloved grand-dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Todd Henson; three sisters, Janice, Debbie and Sandy; and two brothers, Russell and Bill.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 1 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 1 p.m. until services begin at 3 p.m.
