June Margaret Bollinger

June Margaret Bollinger, 71, died at 12:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Grafton on July 27, 1938, the daughter of Lowell Wendle "Jack" and Vera M. (Patton) Skeens.

June graduated from Jersey Community High School in 1956, and soon married Phillip Eugene Woolsey on July 7, 1956 in Grafton. During the course of their marriage, they were the proud parents of two children, a son, Phillip Gregory, and a daughter, Melody Elaine. She later married Larry Allen Bollinger on April 2, 1988 in Knox City, Mo., and together they have shared the past 21 years together. June was a member of the Hardin Order of the Eastern Star #990, and was a 30 year employee of Rudolphs Department Store in downtown Jerseyville, where she grew fond of the many customers who became friends throughout the years.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Bollinger of Jerseyville; a son & daughter in law, Phillip & Dorothy Woolsey of Jerseyville; a daughter & son in law, Melody & John Shelton of Fieldon; two step children & their spouses, Randy & Barb Bollinger of Grafton, and Wendy & Jeff Phipps of Jerseyville; four grandchildren, Hope Brummett, Michael Shelton, William Depper and Phillip Woolsey; five step grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle & Alexis Bollinger and Lauren & Kellie Phipps; a brother & sister in law, Lowell "Frank" & Sharon Skeens of Appleton, Wi.: and two sisters and a brother in law, her twin, Joan Carpenter of Jerseyville, and Nancy & Alan Hauff of Grafton; 17 nieces & nephews and numerous great nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday.  Her son in law, Rev. John Shelton will officiate. Burial will be in the Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to St. Anthony's Hospice.
