Julia Kay Taylor (Momma Jewel’s), 57, of Jerseyville, IL passed away on March 22, 2018 in Jerseyville, IL. Julia was born in Jerseyville, IL to John and Jaunice Lane on September 23, 1960. She went to Jerseyville Community High School and graduated in 1978. She became a CNA around the age of 19 or 20. She loved working as a CNA caring for people. She has worked in a clothing distributing company for Levi and for Children PJ Company. She was a member of New Life Free Methodist Church, First Fruits MBTC, and Gift Girls. She recently was baptized in January 2018. She enjoyed movies, reading books, music, and the Bible. She loved making special gifts for her friends and family; she also loved painting, drawing, and crafting. She loved her flowers and loved going to yard sales. She loved spending time with her family, friends, her dog Tay Tay, and her cat Maddie.  Julia is survived by her son: Jason Scoggins & his companion: Rhonda Stufflebean, her daughter: Dezaray Plato (Hildred), son-in-law: Andrew Plato, 2 grandchildren: Sophia and Robert Plato, 2 brothers: Tom and Jerry Lane, 5 nieces: Melinda (Mindy), Meghan, Jamie, Janna, Jessica.  Julia is preceded in death by her parents, John and Jaunice Lane, 2 sisters: Jo and Jackie, her companion: Allen White, and Baby Plato. A visitation will be held at New Life Free Methodist Church at 201 N. Jefferson in Jerseyville on April 14, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Then there will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Pastor Drew Brandt will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
