Judy Buehler

Judy Fay Buehler, 76, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was born on February 16, 1949, in Belleville, Illinois, to the late Robert and Edna (Lewis) Williams.

On May 23, 1981, Judy married the love of her life, Robert L. Buehler. They shared over three decades together before his passing on April 30, 2012. A woman of quiet strength and endless kindness, Judy dedicated her career to Mrs. Seibold’s Bakery in Granite City, where her warmth and work ethic left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.

Judy’s hands were rarely still—whether knitting or crocheting, she created beautiful, flawless works that her family will treasure for generations. Yet her true masterpiece was the love she poured into her family. Nothing brought her more joy than gathering with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She lived for laughter, cherished every hug, and delighted in spoiling her grandchildren with the boundless affection only she could give.

Those who knew Judy will remember her as a woman who never met a stranger. She offered compassion freely, lent a helping hand without hesitation, and carried a spirit of generosity and love that made every life she touched brighter. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Judy was preceded in death by two children, Tom Buehler and Connie Krupa; her sister, Alice Mathney; and her brother, Bobby Williams.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Debbie (Chris) Vaughn of Granite City, Dave (Nikki) Allison of Granite City, and Lisa Turner of Sebewaing, Michigan; her brother, Mark (Lisa) Williams; her cherished grandchildren, Keri (Scott) Kugler, Kourtney (Rusty) Goodman, CJ (Shannon) Vaughn, Kevin (Julia) Fischer, Ashley (Dave) Kirkpatrick, Parker Allison, Sarah Allison, Matthew Turner, and Amanda; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Tanner, Taisley, Calvin, Austin, Hayden, Dawson, Elijah, Cameron, Devin, Tyler, and Savannah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Irwin Chapel in Granite City, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

In honor of her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or the American Lung Association and will be accepted at the chapel.
