Jud Ray Admire, 55, passed away peacefully at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.
Jud was born June 24, 1961 in Alton; he was the son of Larry and JoAnn (Cosby) Admire. Jud graduated from Alton High School in 1979. He retired in 2008 as a salesman for Twin Rivers/Robert Chick Fritz Distributers after 15 years of service and was a valued member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton. He was active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society and RCIA.
Surviving are two sons, Tyler (Katie) Admire of Dorsey and Justin Admire (Leah Kiger and King Kiger) of Greenfield, mother Joann Admire of Godfrey, stepmother Barbra Admire of Alton, two brothers and two sisters, Todd (Mary Pat) Admire of St. Louis, MO, Stacey Semanisin (Adele Lauglois) of Houston, TX, Scott Admire of Alton and Shannon Admire-McDill of Alton.
We would like to thank all of the wonderful people that have showed loving care for Jud, especially Sandy Hambrick, his caretaker and Doug Henderson, Jud’s friend and caretaker. We would also like to thank Jud’s amazing health professionals, Eunice Smith Nursing Home, especially Hazel Morgan and all of Jud’s doctors especially Dr. Hoelscher, Dr. Rai, and Dr. Bucholz. Our hearts are grateful when we say many thanks to family members, friends and neighbors for all of their acts of kindness for Jud.
There will be a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
