Joyce D. Lawson, 81, passed away Monday, Sept 14, 2026, at Meridian Village, Glen Carbon, IL, after a long illness.
Born August 21, 1945, in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late Harold R. and Mary V. Westbrook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Lawson in 2025, and brother, Harold D. Westbrook in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberlee Daniel of Edisto Island, SC, and son, Gary M. Helfer of Troy, IL; ;two granddaughters, Emily Evans, of Moncks Corner, SC, and Olivia Rothhaus, of Summerville, SC; two great granddaughters, Ava and Lainey Rothhaus; one sister, Carol Knibb, of Springfield, MO.
She is also survived by step children, Rich Lawson, Everett Lawson, Roberta Davidson and Kim Lawson along with many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She worked a lifetime for credit unions in multiple states and retired from Laclede Credit Union in Alton, IL.
She was a member of Bunker Hill Baptist Church in Bunker Hill, IL, and served as their treasurer and various other positions through the years.
