Joshua L. Terpening, 33, passed away 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.
Born in Alton on September 24, 1983he was the son of Steven Terpening of Godfrey and the late Lori (Crafton) Terpening.
A laborer with the International Mulch Company, Joshua was an avid writer. He loved to write and was a true philosopher, always willing and be most helpful to others.
Surviving are his father; maternal grandparents, John and JoAnn Crafton of Godfrey; brother, Jason (Mandy) Terpening of Bunker Hill; two sisters, Lauri (Brian) Waters of Shipman, Jennifer Terpening (Joseph Howe) of Jerseyville; and several niece and nephews.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Monday at Second Chances Community Services, 4836 Alby, Godfrey. Pastor Jim Kiel will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
