Joshua Brockman

Joshua "Josh" J. Brockman, 31, of Bethalto, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at his home.

Josh was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 30, 1994, the son of Christopher L. and Holly J. (Whipple) Brockman.

He is a class of 2013 graduate from Civic Memorial High School. He earned his associates degree from Lewis and Clark Community College. Josh was employed at Sunset Transportation in logistics. He loved sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, Notre Dame Football and NASCAR. Josh was a proud member of the PRIDE fitness family. The love he had for his dogs, Sadie and Hunter was unimaginable. Josh was an amazing uncle and friend alike. He would show up to all the events for all the people he loved, who will miss him dearly. He cherished his time spent with his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Holly Brockman; grandparents, Harold Whipple of Bethalto, and Peggy Brockman of Elsberry, MO; brother, Jacob (Madison) Brockman of Richland, MI; sister, Madelyn Brockman of Bethalto; nieces and nephew, Adella, Luca and Flora; two uncles, Derek (Carrie) Whipple of Wood River, and Joseph (Brad) Brockman of Elsberry; two cousins, Audrey and Carter, as well as many other family members.

Josh was preceded in death by his father, Christopher; grandmother, Suzan Whipple; and grandfather, Joseph E. Brockman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 3 to 7 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto. Pastor Kale Hanson will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
