Josephine Westfall

Jerseyville | Save

Josephine Marie (Vail) Westfall, 51, affectionately referred to as 'Snooks' or 'Jo' by her many friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at her residence.

She was born on June 9, 1969, in Carrollton, one of two children born to Paul E. and Josephine (Scott) Vail Sr. Growing up as part of a military family, Jo spent much of her childhood residing in various parts of the country, as well as Germany.

She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing bingo and quarter auctions and working puzzles; as well as yard sale shopping and crafting. Above all, her greatest joys in this world came from the time she was able to spend with her family, most especially her grandchildren. Jo was one of a kind, and her smile and personality could brighten anyone's day. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love.

Surviving are her mother, Josephine Vail of Jerseyville; husband, Mark Westfall of Jerseyville; three children, Matthew Westfall and his fiancé, Cassandra Rathjen, of Jerseyville; Alexandra Harris, and her husband, Brian, of Killeen, Texas and Zachary Westfall of Jerseyville; five grandchildren, Rylee, Ryder, Ryan, Presley and Dexter; as well as a brother, Paul E.
