Joseph Michael Carter, 34, died unexpectedly at 9:10 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his residence.He was born in Jerseyville on October 6, 1983, and was the son of Michael and Kathleen Yvette (White) Carter.He attended Jerseyville elementary schools, as well as Jersey Community High School, and enjoyed his job as a driver at Sanders Waste Systems in Alton for numerous years.Surviving are his wife, Nicole; and his three children whom he adored,  Chloe Marie Carter, Caden Michael Carter and Caleb Matthew Carter; his grandfathers, Paul Williams of Jerseyville and Marvin "Jack" Carter ofCarrollton; two sisters, Catrina White of Jerseyville, and Angela White, and her fiance' John Miller of Mansfield, Mo.; a brother and sister in-law, Jami and Kelli Carter of Carrollton; a brother in-law, Andrew White of Jerseyville;  Aunts and Uncles, Danny and Debbie Carter of Carrollton, Patti Carter of Bethatlo, Malena and Mark Fitzgerald of Brighton, Steve and Adriane Williams of Jerseyville, Clifford White ofJerseyville, and Melody "WeeGee" Clark of Jerseyville; along with nieces and nephews and  their spouses, Jeremy and Amber Carter, and their daughter, Ava of Carrollton, Nicole and Nick Russo of St. Louis, Mo., Andrew Carter and Caleb Carter both of Carrollton, Levi Buchanan of Jerseyville, Jonathon and Tiffany White, and their three children, Brody, Chase and LeeAnn, of Jerseyville, and Derek White of Jerseyville.In addition to his Mom and Dad, he was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lula (Miller) Williams and Eileen Carter.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Tuesday until time of funeral services at 7 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.  Rev. David Prosser will officiate.He will be laid to rest in the Carter Cemetery in Carrollton at a later date.Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
