Joseph Mihalich

Joseph “Joe” M. Mihalich, age 62, of East Alton, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at his home.He was born May 20, 1954, in Alton, the son of Rudolph and Margaret (White) Mihalich.Joe had worked for many years with his brother at MJR Theaters. He loved cooking and used to cater for events when he lived in Michigan. Joe always enjoyed attending St. Patrick’s School reunions.He is survived by his partner of twenty years, Maurice Parrigan; five siblings and their spouses, Judy and Jim Clark of Godfrey, Mike and Candi Mihalich of Clarkston, MI, Barbara and Jim Nolan of Wood River, Rick Mihalich of Hartford, and Toni and Bob Bowman of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Stephen Mihalich; and a niece, Lindsey Mihalich.The Rosary will be recited for the family at a private service by Fr. John Paul Klein OMV. A private family burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for Masses for St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Diabetic Research, or to the American Heart Association.Online tributes and condolences can be found at www.staten-fine.com
