Jon Thacker

Jon R. Thacker, age 62 of Greenville, passed away at a home in Royal Lake on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

Jon was the son of Herman and Dorothy “Dotty” Williams Scott, born on September 13, 1963. Jon grew up in Greenville, attended the local schools, and graduated from Greenville High School. He worked various jobs in the area, but his main love was for automotive work. He owned and operated his own auto body shop for many years. His last job was working as a janitor at the Greenville Elementary School.

He leaves behind his sister, Joy Bohle of Greenville, nephew Christoper Bohle and his 2 children August and Harrison, aunt Connie Turley, uncle Gary Williams, and uncle Denny Williams.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother James Thacker, and an uncle Neil Turley.

In keeping with his wishes, Jon has gifted his body to help future medical students and further education. Cremation rites will be held after, Donnell–Wiegand Funeral Home assisted in all the arrangements.
