John Terry Stone, 70, formerly of Piasa, IL, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Thurs. Feb. 14, 2019 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton, IL.
He was born May 13, 1948 in Alton to the late John L. & Edith May (Lemon) Stone.
Terry had been a truck driver for Wilson Trucking and a janitor for Maintenance Unlimited.
He is survived by 3 children: Tonya Stone of East Alton, IL, Terry (Jana) Stone of Wood River, IL and Joy (Jason Womack) Stone of Alton; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Eugene (Nancy) Stone of Jerseyville, IL and Robert (Heather) Stone of Summerville, SC; 2 sisters: Donna (Jim) Marfice of Lake Kiowa, TX and Mary (Richard) Garcia of Corona, CA; and a half-sister: Glenna Lee Thomas of Griggsville, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Stone; and a half-sister: Gloria Cornell.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.
