John Lee Seger, 60, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 1:41 p.m. Tues. Mar. 17, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
He was born Jan. 14, 1960 in Granite City to the late Paul & Roseatta (Robinson) Seger.
On July 4, 1995 he and Deanna Lynn Whitehead were married in Bernie, MO. She survives in Granite City.
John loved being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing and shooting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children: Tonya Seger, Josh Barnes, Ashley Judd and Amanda Tappel all of Granite City; 9 grandchildren; and 5 sisters: Louise (Jr) Motteler of Dell, IN, Mary (Albert) Walliser of Granite City, Jean (Carol) Dean of Bernie, MO, Joyce (Radar) Dean of Bernie, MO and Sue (Darrell) Batson of Vienna, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Seger.
Services will be private due to the current COVID-19 crowd restrictions.
