He was born on January 5, 1953 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of James J. & Anna C. (Wikete) Korba.
He married Sandra G. Wild on May 31, 1992 in Long Acre Park in St. Clair County. She survives.
He was a self employed carpenter/roofer most of his life. He liked fishing, Native American drumming, Hinduism, talking about the conspiracy theory and most of all spending time with his family, friends, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Rhiana & Brian Stewart of Bethalto, Aaron Martin & Tina Bean of Jerseyville, Lindsey & Nathan Nolan of Wood River, Johnny Korba and Jade Korba both of Illinois; five grandchildren, Sydney, Aedan, Ariana and twins on the way; his siblings and their spouses, Jim & Shuping Korba of Boston, MA, Nancy Korba of Collinsville, Rick Korba & Patricia Rizos of St. Louis, MO, Joe & Lora Korba of Collinsville and Jerry & Aleta Korba of Belleville; 3 nieces and 4 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Janet Korba & Judy Korba.
Visitation will be from 4 pm until a Sharing Service at 7 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to a Charity of One's Choice.
