John Bush Cannon, 68, of Brighton, passed away on Sun Nov 25, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis. He was born on May 7, 1950 in Iola, KS to William H & Merle I (Adams) Cannon.
He married Lesley Ann (Crockett) Cannon on May 21, 1983 in Hannibal, MO.
John is survived by his wife, Lesley of Brighton, 2 daughters & son in law; Christina & Zak Kruse of Normal, IL and Andrea Cannon of Alameda, CA, and a son & daughter in law; Tim & Amy Smith of Brighton, 3 grandchildren; Kylor, Kody & Rylee Smith, brothers; William & David Narwich Cannon Jr of Chicago and Thomas & Jerilyn Cannon of Iola, KS.
He worked as a wildlife biologist for the US Army Corps of Engineers. He served as a Civil Engineer in Afghanistan from July 2009 to March 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Fri Nov 30, 2018 at the Abundant Life Church in Alton.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Sat Dec 1, 2018 at the Abundant Life Church with Revs Roy Rhodes and Randy Mahurin officiating.
Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to the Audubon Center at Riverlands or Abundant Life Church.
