He was born on November 17, 1962, in Alton the son of the late James and Anna (Hill) Aslone.
He married the former Jacquelyn Owens on February 4, 2000, in Edwardsville and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter: Jennifer Sparks of Alton, two sons and a daughter in law: Robert and Jennifer Sparks of Litchfield, Illinois, and Joshua Mincey of Alton, seven grandchildren, three sisters and brothers in law: Jeannie and George Buttry of East Alton, Joannie Thiemann of East Alton, and Judy and Michael Craig of Godfrey, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was formerly employed at Casey's General Store in Godfrey. He was a member of Calvary Temple in Alton. He enjoyed fishing and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: James W. Aslone.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private inurnment will be a later date at Upper Alton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Siteman Cancer Center Stem Cell Research Division at Barnes - Jewish Hospital.
