Joe Smith 76, of East Alton passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his home in East Alton. He was born July 22, 1940 in Venice, IL to Claude and Ira (Riels) Smith. He was retired from Fire Safety in Wood River.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Smith of Gilliespie, and Dale Smith of Bunker Hill; daughter, Mandie Gibbons of Gilliespie, five grandchildren, Maxx and Mikayla Fritz, Austin and Brendan Smith and Jessica LaRussa; two half siblings, Sandra K. Grahlman of Las Vegas, NV and Danny Smith of Las Vegas, NV and five nieces and nephews, Terrie Skelton, Tom Cook, Ted Cook, Toby Cook and Trudy Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Claude and Ralph Smith and a sister, Blanche Cook.
