JoAnn Admire, 81, passed away at 1:32 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at her home.
She was born on February 5, 1937 in Alton, IL the daughter of Alfred and Mary Hayes Cosby.
JoAnn earned her Nursing degree in 1957 and became a registered nurse. During her career she was the Director of Nursing for the Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton, IL. She loved reading, and her children and grandchildren were her life.
JoAnn is survived by four children, Todd Admire (Mary Pat) of St. Louis, MO, Stacey Admire-Schafer (Bridgit) of Los Angeles, CA, Scott Admire of Godfrey, IL, and Shannon Admire- McDill of Alton, IL; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jud Admire; two brothers, Alfred and Ronald Cosby; and a sister, Betty Schaeffer.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral home in Godfrey, IL.
