Joan A. Kostyshock, age 82 of Edwardsville, IL, born July 11, 1938 in Maryville, IL, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at her residence.
Joan was a 1956 Collinsville High School graduate. She worked as a property manager for Wedgewood Forest Apartments in Edwardsville. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. Joan loved gardening and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and St. Louis Blues Hockey fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George H. and Josephine L. (nee Olic) Tegtmeier; and aunts, Mary Heller and Olinda Wagner Volz.
She is survived by six children, Kim Pulliam of Glen Carbon, Edwardsville, Debra Kostyshock of Collinsville, Linda (Dan) Gamboa of Edwardsville, Ralph Kostyshock, Jr. of Edwardsville, Scot (Mary) Kostyshock of Marine, and Holly (Wayne) Bell of Troy; three grandchildren, Anne (Trevor) Nickerson, Amy and Brad Pulliam; four great-grandchildren, Leo Pulliam, Olivia, Jack and Max Nickerson; two brothers, Delmar Tegtmeier of Maryville and Jon Tegtmeier.
Memorial visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 110 N. Buchanan Street, Edwardsville, IL.
Memorial mass will be at 1:30 p.m. following the visitation with Father Jeff Goeckner celebrant. Burial will be in Buck Road Cemetery, Maryville, IL.
Memorials may be made in Joan’s honor to St. Boniface Catholic Church or Southern Illinois University Carbondale School of Medicine. Donations will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
