Jo Elhausen

Jo Ann Eihausen, age 89 of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away at 11:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. She was born May 22, 1929, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late James & Julia (Hentz) Broderick. Jo Ann married Quinten K. Eihausen June 17, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Edwardsville. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2017. She worked for Edwardsville School district for over 20 years, first as the secretary for the principal at N.O. Nelson school and then as the secretary for the A.V. director at the Hadley House. Jo Ann is survived by two sons, Robert Q. Eihausen & wife Mary of Edwardsville, Jay R. Eihausen & wife Laurie of Breese, Illinois; two daughters, Judy A. Eihausen of Springfield, Illinois, Sally J. Gansner & husband David of St. Jacob, Illinois; six grandchildren, Andy & Jeff Eihausen, Kate & Elise Eihausen, Lauren Meyer & husband Eric, & Luke Gansner & wife Hannah. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Eihausen; one sister, Marian Klein; and three brothers, Jack, James, & Michael Broderick. Jo Ann was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edwardsville, Daughters of Isabella & past president of the Edwardsville Junior Service Club. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at St. Boniface with Father Daniel Bergbower officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
