Jill LaVonne Blumenstein, 67, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 3:27 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her home.
She was born November 20, 1950 in Altamont, Illinois, a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Mistoler) Lake. She married Joseph Stephen Blumenstein on September 4, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri and he survives. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker and had a special love of playing bingo.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Joseph and Brandie Blumenstein of Waynesboro, Virginia; two grandchildren, Arabella and Luca Blumenstein; six brothers and sisters, Gene Lake of Florida, Ruth Ann Cobb of Florida, William Lake of Indiana, Kenneth Lake of Wisconsin, Jacqueline Veth of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and James Lake of Pontoon Beach, Illinois; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Heinlein.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Buck Road Cemetery in Maryville.
