Jewel Glendola "Dodie" Diveley Lacy, 91, formerly of Bunker Hill, passed away at 8:14 a.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Bethalto Care Center.
Born Apr. 11, 1927 in Johnston City, she was a daughter of Herbert and Ada (Dickey) White.
She married Oran J. Diveley Dec. 30, 1944 in Hartford. He passed away Aug. 21, 2000. She later married Eddie Lacy. He also preceded her in death in 2014.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandi Clark of Morgantown, NC, a daughter-in-law Jill Diveley of Keokuk, IA, a son Terry (Deborah) Diveley of Bethalto, daughter Pamela (Steve) Purcell of Nashville, TN, a son-in-law, Rich Strohmeier of Bunker Hill, and sons Keith (Bobbie) Diveley of East Alton and Kent Diveley of Palm Bay, FL; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Diveley; two daughters, Sheri Strohmeier and Dawn Diveley; a grandson; a sister and a brother.
Visitation will be at Paynic Home for Funerals on Friday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Todd Shaw will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs at Bethalto Care Center and BJC Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Dodie.
