Jessie Ham

Jessie “Leola” Ham, age 83, of Alton, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.She was born September 26, 1933, in Formosa, Arkansas, the daughter of Curtis and Addie (Shipp) Thomason. She married Ivan “Gehard” Ham on June 21, 1952 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2004.She is survived by a son, Roger Ham of Alton; a brother and his wife, Sonny and Frankie Thomason of Campbell, MO; a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Randy Metcalfe; four great-grandchildren, Katie, Gabby, Isabel, and Clayton; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kai.In addition to her husband, Gehard; she is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Yvonne McCormick; and two sisters, Margie Davis and Ellen Moore.A funeral service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016, at 10:30 am at the Rose Lawn Memory Gardens chapel with Jerry Gillean officiating, with burial to follow.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.Guestbook and on-line condolences may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com.
