Jerome Everitt

Jerome Everitt, 81, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024 at his son’s home. He was born July 28, 1943 in St. Louis, MO the son of the late Walter Everitt II and Renee (Brackie) Everitt. Jerome served honorably in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a dedicated truck driver in the transportation industry or many years. On June 22, 1973 he married Dora “Dee Dee” Berry and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2024. Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Ann Everitt of Norfolk, Virginia, one son, Arron Walter Payne (Judy) of St. Charles, MO, granddaughters, Emma and Genevieve, and two sisters in law, Charlotte Lynn (Jim) and Mary Jane Berry. Besides his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Paul Payne and one brother, Walter Everitt III. Per his wishes cremation rites were accorded. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation. Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
