Jennifer Lee Lawler, 47, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 7:20 AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born April 8, 1979 in Clarksville, TN, the daughter of Stella Lawler.

Jennifer was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family, loved children, & enjoyed Calligraphy.

She is survived by her companion - Mark Schmidt of Staunton, IL; five children - Michael Schmidt of Litchfield, IL, James O’Neill Schwertmann III of Staunton, IL, Hailey Schwertmann of Staunton, IL, Jade Schmidt of Sawyerville, IL, & Mark Lawler-Schmidt of Staunton, IL; her mother - Stella Lawler; & is also survived by the Schmidt, Mills, & Barber families.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL. No funeral services are scheduled. Burial will follow the visitation at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.

Memorials are suggested to the family & made payable to Mark Schmidt.
