Jennifer “Jenne” Mickelson, 68, passed away at 11:21 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2018 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 29, 1949 in Alton the daughter of Clarence J. and Lucielle (Mikoff) Smith.
Jenne married John R. Mickelson in 2006, he survives.
Jenne was a restauranteur and then a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping and cooking.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Tracie Figueroa (Alfredo) of Alton; two grandchildren, Jacob and Isabel Figueroa of Alton; three siblings, Gene Smith of Alton, Jill Bean (Kevin) of Mt. Vernon, Ralph Smith (Gay) of Alton; an aunt, Jo Coleman of Godfrey; several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special nephew, Chris Bean of Mt. Vernon; best friend, David Voss of Alton; and her dog, Bear.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Michael McManis.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
