Jeffrey Yost Jeffrey L. Yost, age 60 of Alton, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 10:23 a.m. at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1957 in Wood River and was the son of the late Richard W. Yost and Betty L. (nee: Mason) Melton.Prior to retirement, he was employed at Dynamic Vending Company in St. Louis. Jeff was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Alton.  In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed camping, spending time reading his Bible, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Survivors include his fiancé; Susan “Sue”  Midgett of Alton. Three brothers: Paul of Kentucky, Chris of Alton, David (Sue) of Gillespie. Three sisters:  Sylvia Lewis of Godfrey, Kathy (Dave) Pratto of Collinsville,Jessica (Kevin) Gebeau of Glen Carbon; along with several nieces and nephews.  He was very close to Sue’s children: April Burch (Brad Pyatt) and Phil (Joy) Burch. Jeff always treated Sue’s grandkids like his own.  He was their special “Jeffy”. They are: Cianna and Kayleigh Pyatt, Myah and Aidan Burch, and Ryan Morton; along with Sue’s nieces and nephews that felt the same way.  Visitation will be on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton from 9:30 a.m. until time of services honoring his life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Blackburn officiating.  Interment will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton. Memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship Church or to New Life Fellowship Religious Center both in Alton.An online tribute and guestbook may be found at www.staten-fine.com
